Day 44by kellyrc01Comment: Cool, Kelly. It's beautiful -- almost surreal looking. Although they say not to put your horizon line in the center of the photo, I think it works well with the square crop, with the bridge dividing the photo and with the similar colors above and below the horizon.

Day 44by emily212Comment: Funny! You have some neat friends. Those hills behind are really nice. Good late afternoon light and blue sky. |

Day No. 47by GermaineComment: Nice colors. I'm sorry about the fire. Hope the wind continues to blow away from settled areas. |

White Craneby AliciaComment: Hey, Alicia. The arches at the top of this building are familiar -- there is similar architecture in a building on 8th Avenue here in NYC. If I remember, I'll get a snap of it for you next time I'm there.
It also looks like NYC because of the construction cranes everywhere. And I believe at the top of this building I see another floor that was added later. |

day 46 - leaves.jpgby rachelellenComment: Wow, Rachel -- this is easily one of my favorite photos of yours in this 50 day mini-challege. The only thing that would improve it would be if the white background on the upper left was more like the bluish bokeh on the right (the white sort of bleeds into the frame). However, that's a minor quibble about a great shot. I really like the clarity and the white outlining on the leaves, and the different blues in the back and the blurred foreground shadows. |

day 44. 50 days square crop. fireweedby rozComment: Very pretty -- they look a bit like daisies. Good colors in this photo, and good DOF, too.
There is another plant called fireweed (I think it's another plant) that I encountered once that burns the skin when you brush against it. |

Day-47.jpgby KenComment: Awesome. A beautiful photograph. I think I see the banding you mention but it is pretty subtle. Thanks for the technical explanation, I'll have to study it more closely sometime when I have time and am not so tired! |

Day 47by CharleneComment: This is great. It's clearly a candid moment with the movement of her hair, and her expression is lovely and unposed. The bus driver and the hand of someone behind are in shadow and help isolate your subject. What a special moment. |

47.jpgby ivale28Comment: I like the reflection and the colors of the pigeon wing and puddle. Interesting too how there are subtle stripes (tire tracks?) in the pavement that pull the eye to the bird. |
