| I come back and back to this photo often. Each time, the emotions of it strike such a cord with me. It's not just about exposure, or selective desat, or colours or composition..........it's about the acquisition of independence, about little people becoming big people, about the bond between the sisters, and the emotions that underpin the phases of our lives. I guess a big part of what makes it for me, is seeing Ashley in tears, at the bottom, and imagining the story that tells, about the slice of your lives that would have happened that day. It's stunning, Charlene.......a favourite. |

The image captures the moment. Speaking from experience, you will have many moments of mixed emotions as you child gradually becomes fully independent. The worries are real, but the joy is too.

| This is great. It's clearly a candid moment with the movement of her hair, and her expression is lovely and unposed. The bus driver and the hand of someone behind are in shadow and help isolate your subject. What a special moment. |

What a great moment you caught! She looks excited to be on the bus & going off to school. Poor little sis doesn't look quite so happy though.

What a moment you've captured here. Your processing bring the attention right to her, and I love the little details like the binder sticking out of bookbag and her nametag. This is one to print and put in the family album.
