Beautiful photo. The light is amazing. I understand the criticisms others made about the tanker, but on the other hand it does provide another interesting shade of brown!

Whoa! What a fun photo. I actually thought for a second it might be photoshopped. Well done.

Hello Aaron. Congratulations! You are just the second person to enter a DP Challenge using the new D300! :-)

I like your photo. It's a simple idea, but lovely. Fits the theme very well, too.

If I may be hyper-critical, I see three things that could use tweaking. First, the photo tilts a bit to the right. If you have the extra space to crop around the subject, you could rotate a bit to the left so the ornament hangs perfectly vertical. Second, the vignetting on the right side is sort of heavy for this photo. Third, I think the ornament is a bit soft. I see you used f/5.6 -- one would think this would be plenty -- but still the focus seems sharper on part of the branch.

Hope you don't mind the nitpicking. I'm anxiously awaiting my D300 and expect there to be a big learning curve. Keep up the good work!

Congrats on your top ten. Lovely photo. I didn't get a chance to vote, but I admit this was too subtle for me. It wasn't until reading your comments that I realized one was different from the others! It would have been more obvious to have the different glass be completely level (rather than rotated), I guess.

It's hard to believe your physical set-up was as rough as described because this seems so technically accomplished. A little more blue and this could have worked for the complimentary colors challenge, too. :-)

Beautiful photo, Roz, and a perfect challenge entry. No reason this shouldn't have been top ten, but #22 is good, too.

I think the one clear profile in an otherwise hidden crowd of faces is terrific and perfectly conveys the theme. Congrats on your top 10.

Hey, Sherpet! Congrats on your top ten. I didn't get to see the challenge entries until now, so I missed voting (else I would have voted high for this, too).
