Day 4 "Chains" Outtakeby daboardergirlComment: I like all aspects of this photo - subject, focus, tones, etc - with the exception of the large swath of whiteout sky. I like how the subject looks against the sky, I just don't care much for how the sky works with the rest of the picture. Overall, a nice shot. Lets me wonder what the story is behind the guy and his chain. |

Side View.jpgby robgs57Comment: Interesting point of view. This would be the sort of thing I would spend a lot of time on, trying to find the best way to get the most out of such a unique shot. |

B&W - Day 6by mkComment: Look at it this way, I don't have herds of kids around to pose for me...
Very nice portrait. Love the focus and the smooth tones. |

1 015_pine_cone.jpgby dsternerComment: Very nice black and white. Good range of tones, nice separation between the subject and the background. Nice hint of some bokeh back there as well. |

Day 6: Hail Stormby RebeccaComment: Nice photo. Good timing capturing this scene. I think venturing down to street level to really focus on that 'karma' license plate would have really kicked this shot off. If your karma gets you a hailstorm pounding your car, its time to become a monk or something. Good luck on your exams. |

Moth (5)by TonyTComment: Enough dof to get the entire insect in focus is really called for here, as the insect is the only thing in the shot. Nice details on the parts that are in focus. |

Day 5 - The Valleyby ArtysteComment: Even in black and white, the photomatrix effect is obvious on a photo. Nice details in the sky, gets a little muddled on the bottom half in such a sea of flora. Splitting shots in half with the horizon line is generally something to avoid, and I don't know that it is doing you any favors here. Perhaps 1/3rd land 2/3rds sky would let even more of that great sky detail shine through. |
