I actually looked at this one a few times during the voting. The composition grabbed me immediately - I liked the sand, the DoF, and the overall 'feel' of the shot.

What "didn't" work for me was 2 things:
1. the flower just looked unappealing (couldn't figure out what it was - it almost looked like a nutshell), and
2. the seeds REALLY looked like raisins.

Overall, I thought it was a 'good' shot that just begged for better 'props'. :O)

this is awesome! I was thinking of doing a version of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil"... and this was close to how i'd envisioned it! It's not too dark - i think it looks better that way with your hair. I like the overhead angle, and great lighting! Fun shot :O)

Again.. awesome lighting here jd. Yikes - get a fire extinguisher! (a bit heavy on the smoke, maybe?) I think i liked Day 5 a bit better - it seemed a bit more natural, yet there's something about the piercing focus effect on your eye this one!
