FINAL-ENTRY---Cory's-2014-New-Year-Editing-Challengeby KelliComment: I like the softness in contrast that you've created with the feathers.
The thumbnail for this image makes it look like there's a really noticeable halo around the bird, but when I open it to full size it's not nearly as noticeable (there still is a little though). My thumbnail is doing a little bit of the same thing. Darn thumbnails... always exagerating! :) |

cory-challenge-by tangueraComment: I dig the china plate style. My dad had some great Audubon books that had similar painting styles. |

Modern Family by LydiaComment: Part of me wants to give this less of a score than I did, but another part of me really likes the almost portrait feel of this. I do wish the left pup's sharpness was a weeeeeee bit sharper to more closely match the "dird." |

Not the same feast for everyone by Alex_PetriniComment: I was really happy to see this photo on the front page with the other feasts. I think it's an important contrast that needs to be represented. Too many forget that a big Thanksgiving feast doesn't come so easily to all. To the absurdity of the pea, I think it's perfect. Interestingly, I don't think the image would have worked as well with no pea on the plate. I also don't think showing someone eating a PB&J sandwich would have worked either.
Fantastic image. I'm glad you entered it, and especially glad it did so well as to be seen by all, every day, on the front page. |

Time for dessertby UrhoComment: My favorite part of this is the books that the dolls are sitting on or leaning against. There's just something very natural about this whole scene. It doesn't look like it was staged by an adult. |

Morning Routine by littlemavComment: Congratulations!
It cracks me up to see this on the front page for all to see; lit match and all... I have to wonder if part of you regrets actually ribboning with this one. :) |
