Number 1 - Old and Newby shalrathComment: Great juxtaposition of different times and (monetary) cultures. As always your sky has all the drama needed to complete the picture. |

Looking Down Streamby killjoy181Comment: Your reshoots are beautiful. There's still a good picture in here waiting to come out. If you're using PS you might try Shadow/Highlights to increase the drama in the sky and reduce the shadows/highlights elsewhere. I think what's working against you most here are the highlights on the water which, because of the sky, could not be avoided. |

Blue_Bandit.jpgby killjoy181Comment: Looks like you didn't have the best light, but you still got a nice shot with good colors. |

Underpass 2by BlueZamiaComment: Too bad about the chain link fence. It kind of spoils an otherwise cool location. I like the shapes and subtle colors of your subject, and the lighting is perfect. With a wider angle lens you could stand right at the fence and get a similar shot, though you'd lose some overhead. |

Fireplugsby BlueZamiaComment: Something very anthropomorphic about this shot - like fallen soldiers or... Could use maybe a little more contrast or selective colors to bring out the reds bit more? |

1farm-rise.jpgby drydocComment: Now in this, the lighting works very well. We can see detail in the foreground as well as in the shadows, and the main subjects (the buildings) stands out nicely. Very pretty shot. |

3Ivysilos.jpgby drydocComment: I love barns and silos, also. I've captured quite a few. The light in this bothers me in that the important subjects are in shadow while the unimportant parts are in the sunshine - just the opposite of what you want. Perhaps taking it again when the sun is positioned differently? Or perhaps this is the north side, and that will never happen. In which case, try it before sunrise/after sunset, or on a cloudy day when the light is more even. |

4waterhole.jpgby drydocComment: Picture perfect but for the object in the water on the right (tip of a boat, maybe?)which could easily be cloned out. Nice composition and exposure. |
