'Contented'by suemackComment: Maybe loving this one marks me as a "cat person", but I don't much care! Such great texture and personality in this one. It's an expression I know well, one that elicits head rubs and that speaks of cold wet kitty noses. |

Alone in the Atticby EvanHComment: This looks like it's a gorgeous, original shot. I'm even a sucker for a well-done sepia. But the image you've uploaded is really way too small to appreciate properly. |

IMG_3702flat.jpgby fstopopenComment: I think the grunge layers work well. The highlights on her hair are gorgeous. My personal preference would be to keep her off center, cutting out the yellow stuff and the edge of the stairs on the right side of the photo since I think they're a bit distracting. It would also take her into a thirds position, and you know how that goes over around here. Nice work! |

Maremma Toscanaby alexvoloComment: Mmm, mi piace Toscana. La campagna italiana e bellissima. Ma, e una macchia grande come un capello nel'cielo. :-(
I love Tuscany. The Italian countryside is very beautiful. However, there is a large spot like a hair in the sky. |

Evening Flightby cloudsmeComment: Wow, I would love to see this larger and uncompressed. It looks like it was munched by Save for Web. But seriously, wow... great shot! |

A fairytale casualtyby liltritterComment: It was macro, but not obviously so, and not very abstract. An abstract shot tends to be one in which it's not immediately obvious what you are looking at, and this is very quickly obviously a dragon statue. Regarding the macro end of it, you may have known that it was 3" tall, but that's not something we can tell in the photo. There's nothing in the photo to scale it, for one. Also, the white background does nothing for the dragon, and is actually rather dull, like a t-shirt that's been through the wash too many times. The image is a bit flat, with some reflection issues, particularly on the dragon's chest. I think this would have done better on a black background, more dramatic lighting, and a much tighter crop. melissa-rivers.jpgby TonyTComment: Your girl has blue eyes. Melissa's are brown. And this girl's eyebrows are a bit thinner. |
