Bokeh Rising II by 2mccsComment: Even more impressive, knowing what went into creating it. This shows how great a knowledge you have of the technical aspects as well as the aesthetic. Congrats :) |

Lonely Daysby BeeCeeComment: I posterised because I know very little PS and just couldn't get it depressing enough any other way I tried :(
I did try it with the tree both in and out, couldn't decide, but I liked the big raindrop splashed in front of the tree, so decided to leave it. I just wasn't thrilled with the image overall, but didn't know how to get it how I wanted, and couldn't bear not to have that update button!
Thanks all, for the comments :D |

Natural Springby NstiG8trComment: Since you asked, I had a look, let my eyes do their thing, then noted what they did.
First they went to the bright framing stones. Finding them not the main subject they went to the middle of the frame where there was something strongly dark. But they didn't find a definite focal point there either so they jumped around the bright green areas, then finally settled on the water.
I think possibly a tighter crop to lessen the draw to the frame-stones?
It's a lovely subject but doesn't look easy to catch, the way the shaded areas fall, and I don't know enough about lighting etc. to be of much help in solutions, sorry. Hope this helped, tho :) |

Desertedby jonrComment: Such a dreamy, mystical feel. I can almost hear the clatter of horse hoofs and rattle of armour about to appear into the shot. The illusion would be stronger without the flagpole (or at least the flag, if you felt the whole thing might be too major an element?). Very nice shot :) |

Shatteredby snafflesComment: A great find for this challenge, just a little weak on the technicals. Sharpness and contrast would have seen this score better, I think :) |

.._..by industrealityComment: I'm not seeing any real focal point other than the water tower, but you couldn't have meant that as your main subject or it wouldn't be almost missed in the shot? I'm not meaning to sound harsh, I'm merely explaining what I see as one reason you may not be scoring as well as you'd like :) |

Cut, Slowly Falling Apartby tngrndreamComment: The lack of any shadow anywhere makes this very flat and two-dimensional. I know little about lighting effects but maybe others can offer some suggestions for bringing out the best in a subject like this :) |

what happened?by zaflaboutComment: I like this, but I find the doorknob and more ornate door at odds with the barren feel that the smooth walls and stark lines give the rest. Possibly a bit tighter crop there? It's a very effective shot :) |
