Highlights are my biggest gremlin, shooting digital is a real challenge when it comes to keeping the highlights in control. I use a 2xND filter to help however it is a real issue. It is not an issue here so much Jerry

| beautiful shot - why is it so blue -- is that sky? looks like underwater almost. great shot. I don't think the BG out-of-focus is so much of an added interest as necessary for the portrait. |

| Oh, you are SOOOO close on this one! If the white wasn't blown out I'm sure this would be scoring near the top. I love the contrasting colors and the blue in the background is very nice. Best of luck to you in the challenge. |

| Ha ha, clever title! The blue is so bold that it almost overwhelms the bird. Too bad about the blown out spot on head. Nonetheless, it's a great capture and wonderful composition. Nice work. |
