IMG_2056.jpgby mkComment: I hated that train. It took him away. I loved that train. It brought him back. And now I miss that train. I feel like I can't get anywhere. Worse, I feel like there's nowhere to go.
I don't really know what this lensbaby does but I can't imagine putting it to better use. |

The brushstrokes, finding the girl as she shines through the water, using only a handful of tones like a painter with a limited pallette... An Old Friendby JamesKWComment: desaturation tends to take things out of their environment. In this case, the chair is just floating in space and has no weight, no heft. If you are trying to tell some story of loss, it is spoiled by this effect. So I all I saw was a competent but pointless use of selective desaturation, and gave it a 5. |
