Very intimate view, one the actual subject can never see for herself, except in a copy of the photo. A view that will never really be part of the consciousness of a person, since side-views are not how we really think. I find side views this close, this near the blood, sweat, and tears of skin and eyes to be both fascinating and disturbing.
What I find most interesting is the curvy shapes the profile forms. That being the case I would crop this differently. My first thoughts would be to simply crop a little from the top and bottom. I might even crop part of the chin just to see how the face looks when it runs from fame to frame.
