The Giftby StrikeslipComment: I got The Gift. You got A Seven. Possibly... if the humans were still watching the jay, to see him get The Gift, the suggestion of interaction would be more easily perceived. I liked the story and the level of saturation. Excellent focus, especially on the peanut. |

Nap Time - Great Blue Heronby JuliBocComment: I gave this a 6. It took a good staring to figure out what was going on here, but even before I did, I found the abstract qualities very pleasing. I love his big black feather and the colorful mottle of bokeh. Once you find his face he is absolutely adorable. Like a true team sucker, you are guilty of posting a shot that is too interesting for the four second crowd. Technically, I think your focus is great, your composition puts his wee closed eye near a third intersection and his neck starts the swirl of golden mean. The only thing I might have done differently would be to saturate the bird's blue selectively, so that the sky didn't compete and you don't get blues seeping in indiscriminately. This really deserved to score higher. |

Ducks in the Mistsby NikonJebComment: Intriguing shot and location. Needs to be the setting of a short story or some such. I'm fine with the foreduck being fuzzy - the depth here feels like what the eye would naturally see. |

You eatin' MY corn?by snafflesComment: I like the capture and their browny-brownness. maybe try a smidgeon of shadow/highlight or one of the PS fill-flash actions to brighten them up a peg. |

Young and wild wolfby SimpaComment: Were you zoomed like crazy to get this guy? I've heard that wolves are very afraid of humans and can smell them from a mile away, literally. I liked the high contrast here. |
