The Sunrise before his weddingby shetlandComment: I am disappointed to see where this ended up. I didn't vote in this challenge but I thought this would break 6 even though it was never going to make the front page given the DPC voters.
This is even funnier when I read that it was just you shooting and modelling! Having lived in London for a while I can imagine the people going past but also trying to mind their own business.
The bunny ears are a great touch. |

par la merby rinacComment: Bah, not even close to the brown ribbon! This so meets the challenge, just look at all those curves. I'd hate to see it happen to you but this sort of (low voting) reaction to shots is what makes people 'outgrow' DPC. Stop caring about your average and keep submitting what you like, the fav's show that it is appreciated.
PS: you sure do get around the region a bit don't you? |

A road runs through it.by Delta_6Comment: Some random thoughts...The contrast of the red rocks and blue sky is good but the blue is a little flat for DPC. If we could follow the road around fully then that would guide our eye through the frame but as it is broken we get to the first bend and feel a little lost. Given this I wonder how a POV where you were laying on the side of the road would have gone - it might have emphasised the "road" element of your title and also added more scale to the rocks. Another "issue" you have is that your weather is just too good - some more clouds in the sky would have been nice - but that's the price you pay for being in WA ;) |

Le Déjeunerby ImagineerComment: When I look at a shot like this I feel inspired. It's not flashy, it doesn't rely on Photoshop to process the hell out of it (like I seem to need to do often to score well on DPC), it speaks to me.
A good choice of DOF and a good POV make this a great shot. I'm not sure that I would have seen this shot as I walked by this location - that's a talent I don't yet have.
Adding you to my fav's. |

Carveby PGerstComment: Nice shot, I know it wouldn't be reality but if you had cleaned the utensils before the shot it would have added that magazine crispness |
