a marvelous close-up, regardless of challenge. In this particular shot, I like the black across the bottom against the stark white kitty. The fur texture and moistness of eyes and nose is truly evident. And best of all, kitty looks less than self-assured (It is the fear challenge, after all). I like it. 9

I'd thought about tombstones, too. but the child's shadow is an eloquent touch I'd never considered. So much more evocative. Well done concept. I wish the shadow weren't distorted quite so wide. Perhaps a different angle or another time of day? Very nice representation of challenge

Too flat. A secondary light might've helped

I tried lighting this from behind more, but the edges of the preserved gator head showed. I'd appreciate any other lighting tips I can get! The head was massaged with vaseline to get an "alive" sheen. The head came from a shop in the keys. The foot belongs to my son. If you are considering blood: red food coloring in corn syrup looks more realistic than ketchup.

The color adjustments were too much for me. they successfully obscured the subject matter to such a point that it's taken me 5 days to figure out the viewer is up high looking down the side of a building to a parking lot. Sorry. Guess I lack vision.

Certainly my worst fear! I appreciate what you did to the window and the room. I wonder, though, if such a sharp angle was necessary. Of course, a less obvious tilt would probably get comments like "straighten up!" You've certainly conveyed the woozy feeling any parent would have when looking at this scene in real life.
