Love the richness in color and even though you say it was blurry you did a good job in the overlays that added some shadows and contrast such that we see lots of nice little details from the pink cadillac to the christmas 'float' passing by. I like that you added the worn dark edges for it gives the composition the feel of an old postcard - it adds a bit of nostalgia to complement the scene.

It's SNOWING in the classroom!!!:-) Nice catch of the action. The smiling faces show the enjoyment of the activity while you see the mass of falling shredded paper coming down. The girl in the backdrop is ready to create her 'snowfall';-)

Poking her head out from the circle that leads into a square white box world! Love the play on shapes that this one has. I also like the bold contrasts you have. The dark black tones of the cat really pop off visually from the white backdrop! Love all the details we can see in this one from the white whiskers to the details of the fur on the cat's head and the sparkle in the eyes.

Shoes

The body language here speaks of waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I don't know what exactly I am seeing in the backdrop but when I first saw the thumbnail and even now I STILL think of tattered wing angel sitting in a chair waiting ...perhaps patiently in purgatory?!? I know that your main focus was on the shoes but for me it is the pose that speaks of long waiting and those 'tattered' partially seen 'wings' in the backdrop. I am surmising that the crackled texture is to give the feel of age to complement the mood/feel of waiting for a long time (perhaps she is 'Waiting for Godot';-)?) but I feel it distracts more than adds. A warn feel around the edges would bespeak age and long wait more IMHO.

Campari

Campari

Ah, yes, if one has never drank campari before one gets quite a shock on how bitter it is - We could never find a good mix of campari to other liquids (juices or club soda). I like the nice reds of the drink that contrast quite nicely off of the greens. But I think that the main focus is surrounded by too much negative space that does nothing to complement the Campari. A closer crop to the drink would make it more visually appealing by bringing us closer to your subject AND elliminating too MUCH of other distracting elements.

I love the improved version for now you do not have the distracting overexposed scene outside the red retaining wall of the restaurant. The black border really makes the beautiful rich reds pop off the scene. Love the way the light illuminates/highlights the back of the chairs...it makes the scene ever so more inviting. The setting, the lighting, and the colors really make you want to sit down and dine here. While there is yet no food placed on the table there is the tantalizing 'picture' of the margarita showing the drink selection - it is almost like there is a welcoming drink set there waiting for the viewer to take a seat, take a sip, and settle in. I *do* have one little suggestion to make the scene even better. The addition of the thick black border is wonderful but it caused one slight problem. It looks odd that the umbrella base is just suddenly 'cut off' as it rises from the table center. It is like a hard cut from a scene in a movie from the height of an action scene to break away to a romance scene:-) Simple way to fix that 'hard cut' is to signal to the eye that the scene ends with a smooth transition is to insert a 4 to 6 pixel wide thin white border about 10 pixels above and below where the photo composition ends. That way you have the restaurant scene layered between a 10 pixel wide black border then the 4 pixel wide white border then finally the large thick black border.

I like the magical cafe feel to this capture. Relaxing outside the cafe with a nice warm cup of coffee and the holiday lights to illuminate the night with a festive air. Tis a shame that it is not in more sharper focus. While it does give the scene and impressionist feel I do think that a sharper image would be just as appealing and would show off more details of the scene lost to 'quick brush strokes'. I don't know the capabilities of an iphone - but with a smaller aperature (6.5 or higher), low iso (50 or 100) and a slow shutter speed to let the right amount of light (1/2 sec or more but you will need to either have a tripod or a steady tree or wall to brace the camera against to keep the image steady while the shutter is open) in you could capture a wonderfully detailed scene with a good depth of field in foreground & background and more definition to the holiday lights draped around the trees.

Love the backlighting that is illuminating the flower and showing off it's beautiful shades of pink. The strength of this composition is the flower color, the textures and layers of the petals illuminated by the backlighting. That is what you need to play up. As it is now there is too much 'negative' space that detracts and distracts the eye's attention away from the strengths. Zoom in, get a nice tight detailed focus on the layers of the stacked petals to showcase an abstract study of shapes, textures, and the way the light plays on the petals of the flower.

Composition and colors are very pleasing to the eye...eye candy very much indeed. Love how the backdrop is more of the same candies but the depth of field is shallow such that you have bokeh effect with complements the main subjects wonderfully. I also like the attention to detail that you have the labels standing up in attendance showing us the flavors of each of these little kisses.

This captures such a lovely country feel to this floral arrangment. Lighting, B&W tones and details are just wonderful.
