I like the magical cafe feel to this capture. Relaxing outside the cafe with a nice warm cup of coffee and the holiday lights to illuminate the night with a festive air. Tis a shame that it is not in more sharper focus. While it does give the scene and impressionist feel I do think that a sharper image would be just as appealing and would show off more details of the scene lost to 'quick brush strokes'. I don't know the capabilities of an iphone - but with a smaller aperature (6.5 or higher), low iso (50 or 100) and a slow shutter speed to let the right amount of light (1/2 sec or more but you will need to either have a tripod or a steady tree or wall to brace the camera against to keep the image steady while the shutter is open) in you could capture a wonderfully detailed scene with a good depth of field in foreground & background and more definition to the holiday lights draped around the trees. |

That looks very festive. Little lights make any place look more special, I think. |
