Target Practiceby ShutterPugComment: Again, very funny in a sick kind of way. I suppose any cat lover would rather have you in the target circle. Technically, the picture is very good. emotionally, well, i think the vote curve tells that story :)
P.S. I neither hate nor love cats so consider me neutral :) |

Feathered friendsby ShutterPugComment: Nice and sharp, the only giveaway that it may be at the zoo is the concrete in the BG. I would like to see a tight crop of the two heads only, maybe in a horizontal format. |

Spitting Anteaterby ShutterPugComment: Is that worm? Pretty funny. Colors/tones seem to blend together in this pic, making the overall effect rather muted in color and contrast. |

Turbulenceby ShutterPugComment: This is an incredible shot, one i missed during the challenge. Good job with your DOF and i like your treatment of the clouds to give it a very moody feel. Powerful feeling as well. |

Old Spreaderby rwouthuisComment: Hi from the Critique Club. Here is the critique you requested. Please feel free to PM me with any questions or comments.
First of all, let me say that you did a wonderful job on the composition and processing of this picture. YOu definitely captured a piece of history that is unfamiliar to many im sure.
I especially like how the picture is divided into thirds horizontally with the green grass leading to the white clouds, followed by the blue sky. Color saturation is very nice, especially the nice warm tones where the sun is hitting the spreader.
My two criticisms are these: Some of the grass in the foreground is distracting, especially the light colored grass against the spreader. it tends to take my eyes up and past the spreader to the nice blue sky. The second one i'm not sure of but it seems like the trees on the RH side are a little too much, or they crowd the RH side of the spreader. This is just my opinion and i may be way off base. I just feel that a little more space on that end of the spreader would separate it more from the background and make it more of a focal point.
Good score in the challenge and i look forward to seeing more of your work.
Cheers,
