Hi from the Critique Club. Here is the critique you requested. Please feel free to PM me with any questions or comments.

First of all, let me say that you did a wonderful job on the composition and processing of this picture. YOu definitely captured a piece of history that is unfamiliar to many im sure.

I especially like how the picture is divided into thirds horizontally with the green grass leading to the white clouds, followed by the blue sky. Color saturation is very nice, especially the nice warm tones where the sun is hitting the spreader.

My two criticisms are these: Some of the grass in the foreground is distracting, especially the light colored grass against the spreader. it tends to take my eyes up and past the spreader to the nice blue sky. The second one i'm not sure of but it seems like the trees on the RH side are a little too much, or they crowd the RH side of the spreader. This is just my opinion and i may be way off base. I just feel that a little more space on that end of the spreader would separate it more from the background and make it more of a focal point.

Good score in the challenge and i look forward to seeing more of your work.

Cheers,
mark

Lovely sky. Colour satuation good but its a bit busy with all the grass at the front. I think it would have worked better if there was less stalks (on the left)- which would make the object stand out a little more. A great shot though.

Great color tones and nice detail. I like the composition, but it seems just a tad on the busy side with all the elements.

The sky looks great. I wish we had a little closer view of the old tractor/wagon as it's a little hard to see the details from this perspective and distance (and it look s like a good subject).

The contrast between the green of the grasa and the blue of hte sky is very nice. I also like the composition and the choice of subject. Nice photograph overall.

Nice colors, but I'd like to see the camera higher or the tall dead grass cut away so the spreader would show up more clearly.

Now this is simply STUNNING!!! My pick so far for a ribbon, beautiful sky, good application of rule of thirds, strong composition, striking colours - I could go on and on... Best of luck with your fine entry. 10
