I'm not an expert on splash shots/heck, i'm not even an amateur ;) but a couple of things strike me.

One--See if you can light more from the side...possibly by bouncing your flash of of a white posterboard. I may be wrong but it looks like the flash is straight on. More side lighting will give a pleasing dimension to your shadows. Also looks as if it could have been bumped in exposure a bit.

I do like the series of bubbles radiating around the top of the lime. With just a touch more focus the picture would really pop! I think these shots are harder than they first appear. mark

Count me as one that would like either more DOF or less objects in the picture. Your detail on the shroom is good and you might play around with some tighter cropping.
