 Not a lot of time to deal with this one.

Light was simply a torch held above the camera, the backdrop was a pair of black trousers.

Crop, colour match, levels and USM

First entry to be voted on and i am a little excited as i have only been using a camera for about 3 weeks now.

Count me as one that would like either more DOF or less objects in the picture. Your detail on the shroom is good and you might play around with some tighter cropping.

I gave this a 5. I like the subject and the DOF is fine. The lighting on the mushroom and onion is good, the other white veg could use a little more detail. I think it would be improved by moving it all off center and not cropping so close to the top of the onion.

I like the low DOF, but it feels like it could use just a little more light. Maybe a fill to cut down on some hard shadow.

The subject matter is interesting. I wish you'd cropped in the top of the onion.

personally, I would crop this shot differently ... not cut off the top of the onion ... and take away some of the negative space on the sides ...

the composition is slightly tight at the top and bottom.. I think the lighting is good but maybe not sharp enough in the middle..

I think the lighting is good. I might've done it in the portrait orientation with more neg space beneath the mushroom. I'd up the selective color: black so that the background is a bit more solid.
