Beauty between greenby alexgarciaComment: Greetings from CTP2
Ok, the two issues I have with this is the out of focus areas and those rouge branches over the face. In the out of focus areas I feel the blur doesn't look good. When I look at that it looks like there are brush strokes probably just the way the blur was rendered but I would blur it more in post just so it was smoother.
The other thing is the two branches over the face. I just wish they weren't there. Other than that I like the image. The composition works great. |

Poolside Polishby RebeccaComment: Greetings from CTP2
Let me first say this should have scored higher. You may be right about why it didn't score higher but it could also be the neatimage, IMO. In any case it was a good entry. What I especially liked about this was the lighting and also the texture. The image also has a good tonal range and the whites and blacks are perfect. All in all a very good technical image that met the challenge. |

Ahhh....by margiemuComment: Greetings from CTP2
Hi Margie. Let me first say I like the crop. I think that helps make the shot more interesting and eliminates any other distractions that may have been present. The problem I have with this shot is what Rebecca mentioned. It feels incomplete. I do like the bubbles which are over the top and perfect for this challenge but beyond that I feel the rest is lacking. I also don't like seeing the back of your head which kinda looks like its an inanimate object as if it's just hair sitting on top of a stereofoam head. Maybe show a bit of your profile and neck so it feels more real. Lastly, I feel the focus is too much on the candles, IMO. The candles situated in that dark corner has a lot of contrast and therefore my eyes pull to that instead of you. Message edited by author 2006-06-23 03:08:42. |

Pool Boyby jenesisComment: I can't believe nobody has commented on this yet. I like this but I can't really pinpoint as to why. I guess it's just that the moment you captured feels authentic. With so much focus on setup shots and trick photography at DPC you don't see many good candids like this one. |
