The Guardianby aimeethetooComment: Such a fitting title! It's the first thing I thought of when I saw this. I love how the bird in flight slices through this image forming a very pleasing diagonal composition. |

Lonelyby hussar_lasalleComment: This seems to make a statement against captivity. Not probably the best challenge for that but I do like it. |

North Sumatran - Silent Strikeby robaComment: Wow are those piercing eyes! The background looks a little strange to me but other than that I like the quality of your capture. |

Once in a While Wild.by littlegettComment: The motion blurs are all in the right places and the dog has an interesting look about him. The main issue I have with this is the composition is a bit bland. It does enough to show me the dog but nothing more. |

In-Formationby h2Comment: Clean, simple and effective. The colors seems a bit too extreme but maybe that's the way it was. |

Low Flying Gooseby MaryOComment: Good detail on the bird. I think you might have been better off going with an outside border or none at all so the subject had more breathing space. Just a thought. |

Nap Time - Great Blue Heronby JuliBocComment: The moment you capture just isn't interesting if I am to be honest. I do like the blurring of the background to make the bird stand out and you've moved him off center. The thing is you need to show something compelling. Since the bird's face was hidden maybe you should have taken the opportunity to explore it's shape more and us the lines from those shapes to form an interesting composition. That strand of hair right at the top looks like a good starting point for perhaps a leading line in a portrait orientated shot. Just a suggestion.
ETA: An example I saw in this challenge is "Sea Of Feathers". If you look at that shot it's got a rather interesting diagonal composition going where the bird's shape has been framed in a very pleasing fashion. That's the sort of thing I'm talking about here. |
