It's always nice to come across images where you can just tell the photographer knows exactly what they are doing and they are getting the shot they want and not something lucky. This is one of them. I like everything from the composition to the editing treatment. Probably won't do as well as others because it's not bursting with color and such but I think this is a pretty darn good photo. Such a fitting title! It's the first thing I thought of when I saw this. I love how the bird in flight slices through this image forming a very pleasing diagonal composition.

The motion blurs are all in the right places and the dog has an interesting look about him. The main issue I have with this is the composition is a bit bland. It does enough to show me the dog but nothing more.
