Will it be a boy.......or a girl?by LenaComment: Simple. For some reason the string doesn't look plumb to me. In the end, I think there just isn't enough here to keep the eye interested for too long. 5 |

Step on a Crack...by shrimptacularComment: Lighting is tough on this one. Looks like a simple flash. The image also suffers from a very thin DOF. By the time you get to the top of the sneaker, you are already soft in focus. |

Taste Like Chicken.by BullieComment: nice bokeh, oh wait...cute idea, although it seems mildly forced into the challenge. The picture is too centered which is its biggest drawback. Lighting and PP are well done. Ultimately the subject doesn't carry a high "wow" factor. |

Sleeping Beauty (an Angel in the night)by MichaelsinkComment: A few things come to mind here:
1) I think people were looking for some effect as a result of the 30-second exposure. While I hope people gave you the benefit of the doubt that the shot really WAS 30-seconds, they may ask, WHY was it 30-seconds. It doesn't really do much more for us than a 1/60th second exposure (with the proper light of course).
2) Blue is a tough color for skin. She may be a sleeping beauty because she's dead...;)
3) You managed to get some areas too light. Namely her forehead and the crook of her elbow.
Keep trying though. I think the idea was creative. |

The Typistby NuzzerComment: A few thoughts:
1) The tight crop is tough. I see why you did it, but it may have been the lesser of two evils. It doesn't help, it just may hurt less.
2) The idea is neat, but in the end you may have done about as much with it as you could. If you wanted more fingers, you should have tried typing S-L-O-W-E-R. :)
3) The conversion to B&W is decent. |

Red skies at morning, sailors take warningby taseComment: I think this qualifies as a superstition instead of a proverb unlike some other entries. Nice subtle colors. We don't need hyperreality every day. Is this Bear? He likes subtle colors, but I haven't seen him do a lighthouse before. I'm not sure I like the tree on the right. 6 |

Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!by JudiComment: Nice effect. I'm guessing glass instead of a mirror, but the extra ear on the left has me a bit bamboozled. A bit high key for my taste. His shoulders are blending with the background. 7 Ok, I'm just a bit slow today. A mirror, but just taken at an angle and rotated. Duh... |
