This photo came across as average for me. I can see some detail on the coins, but it is lost in other places and does not come across as done purposefully for artistic reasons. The lighting did not help with the strong reflections. Some kind of diffuser would help with that. 5

I'm out of the loop, but haven't seen the movie. Still, I get the gist of a machine, Hal, being involved. This image comes across as more of a computer generated graphic than a photo. Between that and not knowing the reference well enough to pick up on the detail, it left the image average for me. 5

I suppose I am naive, but I didn't know what the red loop ribbon stood for until I saw it in context on another image. The image itself is nice with a strong graphic quality to it. The composition is good and the processing works. I'm bothered by the wrinkles and inperfections in the cloth, yet believe that may be part of the message. The lack of context left it average for me. 5

A very well composed and graphically strong image. However, overall it came out average to me. The foreground details are nearly lost in the lighting, the image is disturbing, and the event has no impact to me personally. I don't know who Sid Vicious is or what impact she had on the year. 5

Back to the Future '85

I remember the show. I can see what you were going for, but it didn't quite work. The car looks like a toy. The flames, while interesting, are overexposed and the lack of focus in the forground caused you problems. Even with these flaws, the image comes to the average range for me. 5

A decent shot of 1951 coins. Not being a coin collector, I'm wishing for more of a story of connection with the uniqueness of 1951.

Technically, I'm missing detail on the copper coins and seeing hot spots on the silver coin. 4

I'm not sure of the connection with the clothing and the year. I know that similar clothers were made long before 1975. If I'm missing a connection, please let me know.

Visually, the coloring combines well, and there are some interesting textures. Nothing about the image really grabs my attention. 4

Interesting collection of stuff there. Since I live near the original KFC restaurant, I thought your date was off. Sure enough, KFC was founded in 1952 (no bid deal, but interesting.)

Decent shot, but the result ends up lacking visual interest. 4
