a very cute photo indeed! but I mean no disrespect when I say i don't understand how this fits the theme of darkness (both on a literal, emotional, or theme type level)? if one is really to stretch I could say this kitten may be blind, his eyes are closed, thus dark..but the image still doesn't hold a feeling of darkness to me =)

this is a spectacularly composed shot..and I love the ant as the subject..but I fail to see (both on a literal meaning of it being dark or emotional / intent as darkness) the relevance of it in this challenge? again, nothing against this photo..but aside from the dark ant I just really don't understand how it represents darkness to you (and I'm a pretty open minded guy, you got me stumped heh) =)

I don't think the perspective on this photo is dramatic enough..to really capture the feeling you want from her (great pose and I love how she is crouched, half hanging, in the corner though)..maybe if you were closer to the wall, or it was titled some, or at a wider angle..it might have that more "dramatic" effect..but the grit and model are just great =)

I enjoy this shot very much. a precurser to darkness, but leading our mind down that path none the less!

I enjoyed this one..very minimal leaving lots for our mind to fill in (which always works well for something mysterious like "darkness" )

this almost tries too hard to be emotional..with all of the props (ie it almost doesn't feel natural and casually depressing like I think the shot was intended, almost too forced) - but the expression on her face and the tear really help to keep this real for me...

good work!!
