I laugh everytime I look at this shot. Your expression could not have been captured better. The lighting is well done and really aids to draw your focus and attention. Very creative shot and well done!

Very nice composition. The offset of the bench is just enough to give the shot the right look while setting up the rest of the composition very nicely. B/w was the right choice as well. The shot has a very strong emotive force. Almost makes me feel as though I am standing behind them as opposed to looking at a picture. Very well done!

Congrats on your finish! Very well done photo. Processing is well done and certainly adds to the force of the scene. I really like the feel when viewing this shot - sometimes up and sometimes down. It just draws you in. Again, well done!

Stairway to Heaven

Should have done better. Lighting is very well controlled in this shot. Exposure could not have been easy since it appears you were handheld (walking tour...). The framing of the staircase is excellent. I really like how you offset its placement just a little and not more. The candle on the seat is a nice lead in. You are drawn to the stairs, look at that candle and the follow it right up. Almost like you are walking down the hall and around the bannister yourself. And the light at the top takes you off the stairway. Very nice lead through. The post processing helps make this as well. More color would be distracting and less would be flat. A very nice balance between desat/sepia and color tone. Well done Mr. Carter!
