Very nice composition. The offset of the bench is just enough to give the shot the right look while setting up the rest of the composition very nicely. B/w was the right choice as well. The shot has a very strong emotive force. Almost makes me feel as though I am standing behind them as opposed to looking at a picture. Very well done!

Wow. This is such a great photo. There are some photos that are nice art, and then there are others that actually inspire us, and this is one of them. Nice work.

Congrats on the ribbon David. This shot says it all about 'Best friends' they are not looking at each other but you get the sense they are talking and reminiscing together.

Way to go David! Glad to see you finaly got up-there. Keep it up, two more targets and plenty of challenges! Very nice picture... I like the contrast of the jackets interlaced with the middle gray that is the bench. The slightly out of foucus background and foredround also give a cool black & white spectral. Oh yeah, it's also very serene. Very pleasent to view.

Congrats on getting bumped up into the yellow. Definately a great image. Did you happen to know who those gentlemen are, so you could get them a printed and framed copy?

Pushes beyond the ordinary, simply by the taking these two seniors from behind, as though we, the younger generation looking ahead at them looking ahead, across the waters of time. I would have loved for the waters to have more clarity, but the future is never all that clear now is it. Thanks for an excellent entry.

I think this one is one of the better ones, possibly top 10. I would have voted it even higher if we could have seen what they are seeing, or maybe centering the subject, or not cropping so close and placing them farther into the left corner. good job.

When I started voting on the challenge I thought how come no one's thought of two old men on a bench and after almost 180 pics I see this. read my mind. awesome.

I like this picture, This is very cute and i love the way the old men are sitting on the bench and you took it from behind them and you still caught the water that is infront of them. It also looks nice in black and white.

Great tones. Meets challenge well. Seems a bit too tight, but that is just personal preference. I think a looser crop a bit less centered would have improved. Still great shot.

I liked this photo. It answers the challenge. I think it might have been more interesting to see the faces in profile.

This one really captured the friendship between the two, I can just feel them gazing away over the water. Very emotive.

I really like it. I would like to see the bench a little further to the left because the men are too far in the center of the photograph. I think this crop would make the photograph a little stronger. However, great lighting and contrast!

Reminds me of Grumpy Old Men movie! Very good depiction of Best Friends. Can't decide if I like the border on this yet. 8
