Monet's Waterby njsabsComment: digustingly under-rated.. brilliant concept, perfectly executed. |

Outsideby macrothingComment: THe thing is with this, the composition is great, you cant fault it, but the choice to go with purple was a moment of madness.. It adds nothing to the shot (expect purple). I would like to see a natural colour version of this shot.. |

Flightby kgerendaComment: HUGELY under-rated in my opinion... should of been top 5 at the very least. |

Bubo scandiacus by Ecce_SignumComment: Beautiful shot Andi. Well done on the ribbon. Kinda creepy how close our placings were, subject matter AND title. |

Anticipation… intimate moment of new loveby DaisyBootsComment: congrats on a pretty good finish for your first entry! Its a good shot that meets the challenge well.. However, I am known for being critical so I don't want to disappoint you here by being too nice..
OK, the weakest point in this photo for me is the B&W conversion. Just desaturating or converting to grayscale generally will result in a pretty flat image that can drain any life out of the image. Your best best would be to learn how to use the channel mixer to make some of the tones deeper and richer.. its hard to explain but channel mixed B&Ws just have more depth and are tonally more pleasing.. if you need any advice on how to do that then feel free to drop me a line.
Anyway, well done and hope to see more from you in the future.
Mark.
PS, tell Gloda to pull his finger out and arrange the Canterbury GTG. |
