This is lovely...can something "desolate" be lovely? I find this image quite stunning and oozing with mood, atmosphere and simple raw emotion, not at all feeling "contrived"...excellent work.

I absolutely hate roaches, I'll take a spider any day over a roach...but this is a seriously cool shot, roach included...and it's so funny you filed the image under "animal" too. I lived in Texas for a bit and some of them roaches down there were truly big enough to put a saddle on and take 'em out for a spin...oh, and welcome to DPC!
