I couldn't resist. The challenge was such a good fit with my angel project that I had to enter this shot.

Hope this does well. I have been out for a while, it feels good to be back in the game :D

Wonderful! I missed this during the challenge... would've given you an 8 if that helps now. One minor gripe from me, the over exposed arms. Otherwise, the only thing I would have added in PP was a little vignetting (however you spell that) to bring the focus in to the center of the image. Wonderful shot, keep this up!

---Greetings from the Critique Club!---

First impression - The other side of angelic

Meets the challenge - absolutely! The black wings against the drab concrete wall work to set the tone for the whole image. The sullen expression, sagged shoulders, and the model's black hair finish off the effect. Good work on the choice of subject and the costume.

Technically the photo is on solid ground. The only nitpick is the top of her arms are a little over exposed. Maybe a little dodge and burn in PhotoShop would have helped there.

Great image, decent score, probably deserved a higher score IMO.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

this feels like it would be more effective with a buisy background, but the feathers are lovely!

Wow! Really cool concept. Great props. Nice location. Good, sound composition. The models pose and expression work well. A total package that really conveys the idea well, IMO. Very nice job :-)

I remember you your on my favorites page! I am so glad you got your wings out of that darn tree. Black angel lady maybe one of these timews things will turn your way. Ok now that I am done being an idiot I like your photo and the sad angel is a nice touch in the concrete landscape, my only suggestion would to maybe have shot at an angle where you could have alittle bit more profile and more backgound into the distance. Just a suggestion.

this is brilliant, and has a degree of reality much higher than many of the other of a similar ilk in the challenge. and the fact that she has wings sprouting from her back doesn't lessen the reality of this shot. your model appears to be so wrapped up in thought that it's infectuous. there is so much to like about this. the simplicity of the environment, the dirtiness of the footpath, and the crappiness of the wall... the voyeuristic composition and feel. and it doesn't look remotely posed or false - i keep harping on about it, but it seems so real. fantastically understated too - the temptation to go bonkers with the editting must have been a sod to resist, but you have, and kudos to you for donig so. 10.
