Hard Waterby indianzfanComment: This could have done with more contrast, though it is hard to do when we are not allowed to dodge and burn. It needed a sharper focus too so the detail of the icy branch could have shown better. Maybe taking at a differenct time of day would have added the crispness this image needs. Still, the attempt was a good one. Keep on trying. These snowscapes are worth the effort when you finally get that perfect shot. |

Playing fowlby CaillieComment: Seems too oversharpened. Perhaps just doing an unsharp mask would have been enough. |

Early Morning Fogby CamComment: I think the duotone may have wrecked this image. I hope we will see the color image when the challenge is over. |

DownTownby YourBuddyFloComment: Your exposure was too long on this one. You could have reduced the overblown highlights by adjusting your camera to a higher aperture, or even changing your iso to a lower number. Night shots take a lot of practice, but it is worth the trying just to finally get those wonderful shots we all strive to get. |

\"Can I have a Kiss\"by anthonyreadingComment: Very strong contrast. Love the way you caught the strands of hair as part of the silhouette. Hey, is that an orb in the background? (lol) |

go on or give upby gazdiComment: This is very dark, which prevents me from appreciating what the image is. Lighten it up a bit, and work a little with curves and any highlights that were blown out by increasing brightness would be taken care of. |

...Parched...by DefyTimeComment: Very moody pic. I love the starkness of the tree group in the foreground. Your choice of tone doesn't necessarily depict being parched, but the trees definitely do. I also like the way that you show the shadow, which completes the upper part of the tree which we don't see. Nice job. |
