I walked by my girls at breakfast and saw this image in my head. The light was such that they stood out in contrast against the sliding glass door to the snow in the backyard. I then set up the shot and took the picture. It turned out just as I hoped. I saw this new contest and thought wow, I\'ll submit.

I'm surprised it did not place higher in the challenge. I mean, some people have go to be blind when they vote "3".. or even "4". But anyways... this pic is without question one of the best in the challenge.

Very strong contrast. Love the way you caught the strands of hair as part of the silhouette. Hey, is that an orb in the background? (lol)

I like it. I wish that little spot by the little kid was'nt there.

The silhouette is quite well done. On the other hand the spot (CCD dust?) in the lower left part of the picture is quite disturbing. 6

Great use of backlighting.

such a great idea, but there is this black smudge that is so detracting

The gray 'thing' on the lower left side is very distracting. I think, while the shot is very good, this photo would have been better if you had just cropped out the bottom to remove the gray thing.

I am sure you already got comments on this, but that grey dust spot really kills the cleanliness of the photo. Other than that I think you did a great job. The silhouetts have very sharp edges.

This is nice but I'm not seeing any duotone enhancement.

That's the one thing that I hate about "Basic Editing", you're not allowed to rid the photo of those unwanted spots! This would have been a great shot if not for that spot. Good job anyway! (8)

Great shot. (You may want to clean your lense).

Cute. Makes me think of that "do you see the profile or the martini glass" test.
