Day-2-100-0003_IMG.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: I'm glad I looked twice at this. That old street light and the setting sun juxtaposed with The Big Apple are really thought provoking. MelonMusketeer is right -- it's '50's noir in color. |

Gone fishingby LevTComment: Very evocative. There's got to be a nightingale singing... |

day4.jpgby MadMan2kComment: Perfect combination of blur and stop-action. It's clear what the guy is doing, but you still get that feeling of motion. |

Dance Practiceby bob350Comment: I love that red background. I'm thinking of one of those things that goes twirling around on top of musical jewelry boxes. Do they even still make them? |

fluffby raishComment: The essence of a cat walking off... To me, the blur heightens the "swish" element. I don't think this would work as well in sharp focus. It looks as if there's enough going on with the baseboard and the floor (extraneous lines and marks) that we would be distracted from that oh-so-fluffy tail. |

Teleporting Inby levyj413Comment: That lime green column is amazing. He's obviously about to be beamed up somewhere. And that woman is taking notes. This has got to be one of the great street shots of all time. |

Rain Danceby TejComment: I liked this last year, and I like it even more now. I think it has to do with the placement of the figures, which stand out very strongly against the background, and the fact that they aren't just standing there -- their bodies are in interesting positions. Hope that makes sense... 8P |
