This reminds me of the story a DPCer was recounting about the tsunami last Christmas and that this was a friend's or relative's home. Looks like a fantastic setting. The tilted horizon is distracting though and I think it could use a bump in color tones. Otherwise good job.

Very creative and unique entry! Hats off to you for thinking this up. I think the execution could use a little work, but I do like the idea. I would recommend slightly sharper focus, more deep, rich tones, and you might bump up the contrast a bit more. Still a solid entry and certainly one that stands out in a large crowd. :-)

Ya know - this was the very first thing I thought of when this challenge was announced. I knew I didn't have the chops to pull it off, but you've done quite nicely. The horizon seems slightly tilted to me (and a distraction rather than an artistic plus), but otherwise the focus and colors/tones are dead on. Great job.

Really magnificent scene. Not crazy about the processing though. Somehow it seems to take away from the beautiful detail and rich tones, rather than augment them. Still strong entry.
