day18sacredheart.jpgby icu1965Comment: Oh darn...why did they put those doors on such a lovely building as this one? You should take some closer images of the brick work. Thanks for the interesting story!! |

Landing Up On A Glacierby OldCoyoteComment: OmG!! No way!! Sounds like fun in a scary way. My daughter is taking pilot's lessons and I'm amazed at how small the inside of a plane actually is!! Kudos to you and your aunt!

No Crossing Today Day 15by riversongComment: There's a river on the the otherside of the road. In summer months this sign is telling tourists there is a pullover around the bend in the road and folks might be walking across the road to take pictures.
Anyhow as I was taking images of the river a few minutes earlier a deer leapt up out of the snow bank directly into the middle of the road! She was 4 feet from hitting me in the face. She bounded up the steep imbankment and I thought....'wow, imagine dying because a deer ran you over while taking photos'! Message edited by author 2008-01-18 15:34:14. |

containedby RetroesqueComment: Love how the light caught all the lines in the wire fences! This little pony is about as cute as can be. He reminds me of Merry Legs, the pony from Black Beauty. |

do chimps cry?by rozComment: Utter despair. It looks like they cry so it's the perfect title. This is heartwrenching...what an emotive image! Your editing highlights the gloominess of the shadows, too. I want to cry. This would ribbon for the 'framing challange'. Message edited by author 2008-01-16 15:50:28. |

poignantby rozComment: We need to see sad because that's life for animals in captivity. I'm sure all zoos do the best they can to comfort their animals, but still...they are locked-up in jail.
This wonderful creature still tenderly holds her baby and I know she's not thinking this, but one gets an uneasy feeling she's wistfully wishing for freedom for her baby. Extra nice editing...looks like a painting Roz. |

Gator Gossipby MelonMusketeerComment: omg...I guess they were happy to see you...dinner time I suppose!! My gawd they are swimming all around eyeing everything. They are such fierce and primitive creatures, aren't they?
Does a possible hole in the boat ever cross your mind when your out there at night?! Superb capture of these awesome things. I'm glad you shoot them with your camera and not a gun, this is a NICE image! |
