This started life as a fairly decent shot of some surfers, but as usual, I got to fooling around with filters and then did a b&w conversion.

The effect here is interesting. It reminds me of old tintype images, which creates an interesting tension with the modern action subject. I agree about cloning out the second surfer.

I think that for this processing to really work well with this image, the second surfer (the one behind the wave) should be cloned out to leave a single point of interest. The lines in this are really powerful.

The one in front looks like a little action figure doll (the bendy kind you can pose). For some reason the guy in the back looks Monty Pyhtonesque to me, like a little cutout added to the scene. Fun :-)
