Driftwoodby GraciousComment: Neat shot, I like the composition. It seems a bit over sharpened and contrasty though. DPz |

Spaghettiby JackoComment: I keep looking at this and something about it bothers me. Maybe not quite sharp enough or not quite enough light. It just doesn't feel right. DPz |

Happy Holidays!by timj351Comment: Wow, I wouldn't want this electric bill. Very colorful and nice exposure. What are the blue things on the bottom right? DPz |

Bloomingdales Candid 1by smellyfish1002Comment: I really like the face against the face in the background! The white burnout on the right side is a bit distracting. I assume you couldn't crop that out. DPz |

Chasityby connieComment: Really nice composition and beautiful model. Seems like a bit too much glare across the upper part of the face. |

First Snowby BAMartinComment: Nice feel, (although cold!) with the sled moving in from the left. Seems a bit dark but that is so tough with the snow. Nice shot. DPz |

Blue Capitalismby aroqueComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!!
I noticed that this is your first attempt at DP Challenge. First and foremost, I hope that you will not be frustrated by your finish and not continue with the challenges. My first couple of shots didn't do well either and I have learned so much in my time here.
A couple of fundamental problems with your shot. The biggest seems to be your lighting. It seems to be underexposed which in turn leads to graininess and lack of focus. The red glare on the right is also a big distraction. If I'm not mistaken, the Blue Cards are transparent so you might have shown a light through it to emphasize the blue color.
There is also a reflection of your camera on the card. A definite no-no unless the photo calls for it.
I like the angle that you used although you might want to crop out the number at the bottom. All in all, the card certainly meets the challenge but you needed to bring out the blue color a little to confornm to the scoring. Good luck in future challenges.
