That thread explains how to size your pictures for display here - if you don't use Photoshop, you can always ask in one of the forums and someone who uses the same software will be more than willing to help you out.

As for the photo, I suspect you're trying to play up on what appears to be "Alien Workshop" - the greenish tint to the light accentuates that well. Good focus and framing, though the bluish background appearing on the lower left is a bit distracting.

It appears as though you tried to dodge the shadows to bring out the detail but it's very overdone.

Not fond of the border - it kind of overshadows the picture because it's so thick. Same thing only much narrower might work. The picture itself is very sweet - I like that the son has more hair than the father.

I like the angle you chose for this shot, and the reflections off the propeller blades. There does seem to be a bit of color noise/grain and a bit of haloing.
