I quite like how you've put this together, but would either lose the lightning, or limit it to one strike from within the dark part of the clouds to the viewers' left. Great job with the reflection - I bought into that hook line and sinker before I checked your original!

The ink is fascinating, particularly the bow-legs and the jar of moonshine on the arm. I'm not sure if there's a way to compose this without the front person, though that person definitely adds to the "yawn-inducing" atmosphere that seems to be present. Coming back to this one - I don't know what possessed me to suggest not having the front person - provides for excellent contrast.

Great job bringing out the warmth of the natural colors. Very good work using selections and handling those as needed - something I need to work on. The only thing I can see that I might change is the dark area of the sky in the upper left - it's naturally there (it's in the original) but it is a bit distracting because it's such a small area. The section on the right is fine.

Good editing on this - really brought out the colors without creating a lot of noise (I need to learn to use those noise reducing tools!) The crop gives it a kind of lonely feel, compared to the original with the house in it. The lights are just sort of guardians, but you con't know what it is they're guarding - I like that.

I do like the crop, and I like the reflections. Multiply can work wonders with shots, can't it? Just try not to let it get too dark, which it can sometimes. I think you balanced it pretty well here.

They don't have very long lives, do they? It might have just been cold because it doesn't look very ragged as Noraneko pointed out. They tend to get raggedy toward the end of their short days. Neat picture - thanks for sharing!

I like how the grain contributes to the creation of essentially two spaces here - the ground, and the sky appear to be two different worlds.
