Working in the woodyardby EnlightenedComment: Seems a bit of a "I'll sneak up and shoot him and he'll never notice" kind of thing, doesn't it? HCB tended to get his subjects engaged in something, even with him at times. The tones in this are very good, but it lacks some of the energy HCB seemed to find. |

Morning Walk to Workby tvsometimeComment: Nice triangles here - notedly the one formed by her, him and him (moving clockwise in the frame); the triangle formed by the white lines and the front left corner of the frame. A good homage to the way HCB would find shapes and structure in his captures. |

Flora and Fauna Reserveby supanovaComment: HCB did have a thing for form and shapes - the centered comp, with the tall kid in the middle, is offset every so nicely by the i and ii of the remaining structures on the sides of the road. |

No home, No Bikeby jaynekComment: Interesting title, as he does seem to be contemplating the lock. He's been to a good shelter or facility at some point, though, because he has very good shoes. |

Gatewayby maclenComment: A nice place to wait for a shot - I like the guys dancing on the wall. A person simply walking in seems a bit average, though. |

Birthday Boyby PetRockComment: Kind of a random headshot of a guy with no real context to it. HCB had a tendency to capture people in places, doing things, etc, to give a bit more context - at least that's how I think of his work. |

Train to Brieby JopsyDaisyComment: Nice light on the lines. Has an oldish feel to it, too. Not quite sure of the HCB connection but I'm not versed on his whole catalog. |

can you see me?by danieletagliabueComment: That's one bright jacket! I appreciate the folks in blur - it's one of my favorite things to do. They just seem so gray and lifeless here, despite their movement. Zombies, maybe? And that guy in the jacket is the last survivor, watching them all go buy... |

The Long Way Homeby vawendyComment: An interesting moment in time kinda shot. I like the enterprising adaptation to the young man's wheelchair. |

Running on topby gyabanComment: An homage to the gent leaping the puddle, perhaps? I do worry that she'll break an ankle on landing, given the height of those heels! Has a very "set up" feel to it which strikes me as not exactly HCB-ish. |
