Hiya Timfy... Lost a little weight? This is very nicely done. If I had a nit, it would be that the angle of the head is just enough down that your eyes are rolling up to look at the camera, it looks particularly odd witht he left eye (your left).

Very nice framing. I wish you'd captured a little blur on the props though, the whole thing is oddly static.

The processing is producing circular rings in the BG, which is very unfortunate. Hell of a capture regardless.

1-dec 09 whatever. Long Legged Fly & Eggs?

Some types of flies do carry their eggs until they hatch, yes. And some types of fly eggs are orange. In fact, there's a fishing fly pattern that emulates a fly carrying orange eggs, I forget the name of it now. Furthermore, some flies actually carry the eggs INSIDE their bodies until the hatch into maggots, then expel the maggots directly instead of laying the eggs. So there's a lot of approaches in the insect kingdom...

Ridiculously, pathetically, shamefully underrated, and I say this as one of your 10's... What can people be thinking? Or *not* thinking, as the case may be? Sigh... 5th favorite now, just added.

An image like this can only work well if it's as sharp as a tack, which this, unfortunately, is not. It *is* a nice design, however...

LOL. That's an utterly-out-of-the-box take on the concept "macro"... I guess you're doomed... It would be fun to see this finish anywhere in the vicinity of 6, so I'll get you started with a 7 :-)

Ah, I shoulda' commented on this one earlier, sorry. I gave you a 9, I think it's a fabulous shot. I'm the "other boat snout" in this challenge, and you whipped my butt. I love this image, and I'm delighted to see it garner a PB for you.
