Something just does not seem right here. Speckles, or something. Like little purple spots on his back, around his eye, and on the tree bark. The photo its self is adorable. I like the angle and framing/cropping are good too. Focus seems a tad off, but that could just be a product of those speckles. I really like the angle though. He's looking at you like "dude, get out of my tree" lol. Is that a squirrel?? He looks so huge and has a funny tail? Good luck in the challenge.

Beautiful. Being a guitar player myself, I really like the shots like this. I have 2 very small, minor complaints. There is a reflection of something in the upper right corner, and the background in the upper left is a tad out of place here. Otherwise, focus and clarity are great, lighting is great, and the angle and framing/cropping really make this shot. Good luck in the challenge.

The Unknown

Didn't we see this in Blair Witch Project? Just kidding, anwway, I think it is well done. Low light like this, my camera would have freaked out and produced crap. The angle and framing/cropping is ok. I wonder what it would look like if she were at a different angle. The title goes well with the shot, and I think that the lighting on the subject is good. Definately different. If we didn't have experimentation though, it would be a truely boring world indeed. Good luck in the challenge.

Ilussion and Gestalt study

Almost looks like 2 clothes hanger racks with a wall between the 2. I can see though, that it looks like 2 clothes hanger rack, and a mirror on the wall? It is an interesting abstract. The pattern is good, color is good, and focus and clarity are good. Also, the angle and framing/cropping are well chosen. The lighting look a bit strange, maybe cause of the shadows, but it's not really a bad thing at all, as it inhances the patterns. Overall nicely done. Good luck in the challenge.

The shadows around her eyes, in combination with the hot lighting on her nose is kind of distracting. The background is good, and the angle and framing/cropping are ok as well. The focus around her mouth and chin seems to be a bit off, but that also could just be a product of the bright lighting. It's a nice portrait, and well thought out, but needs a bit of a lighting adjustment. Good luck in the challenge.

Interesting abstract. I think the pattern is ok, and the angle and framign/cropping is good too. I like how you have filled the entire photo with the subject. THe lighting kind of freaks out in all 4 corners, but nothing serious. I'm not generally too fond of abstracts (even my own), so while it's not really my thing, it is very nicely technically done. Maybe some added color some how? Good luck in the challenge.

Christmas Apple

This is a really great idea. This is a christmas card for sure. I love it. The angle and framing/cropping is great. I like the added space at the top, and the border really sets this off. colors are great, as is the focus and clarity. I am not sure if I might like to see the bottom of the apple in focus or not. I think it's ok as is, but maybe I'd like to see it with the bottom in focus for comparrison. what a wonderful, pleasing to look at shot. Good luck in the challenge.

Colors are a bit muted, but still a very pretty shot. I really like the clouds. gives me a sense of calmness. the building/structure thing to the left is a good touch. give just enough of "something" to make this interesting. I wonder how this would look if you upped the saturation just a tad. just something to try. good luck in the chalelnge.

Tons of Seeds

wow wow wow. I'd like to know how this was made. those look like sunflower seeds. are they strung on a string, or glued together, or what? really cool. I wish that the lighting wasn't quite so dark on the bottom right, but that's minor. The focus and clarity are great, and the angle and framing/cropping you have chosen is nice as well. I like this dead center. good luck in the challenge.

very nice subject. You have nicely executed the subject its self, however the background is aweful. The sky is white out, and the tree is muted by lighting conditions as well. I find that a bit distracting. Otherwise, focus and clarity on the subject are good, and your angle and framing/cropping are also nice. I kind of wish we could see the rest of the names, but the photo wouldn't be the same without the wreath. good luck in the challenge.
