This hurts my eyes. Looks like a hard flower to focus on. What I see that is the best in focus are the few leaves to the right of the flower. The angle and framing/cropping are ok. I wonder if this might have higher impact though if the flower wasn't dead center. Sometimes it works ok, and sometimes you'd be surprised at how a slight shift makes a world of difference. ~Heather~

Very nice color. We have a tulip festival here in Holland,MI. Was that where this was taken? I like how you have the one in the front in focus, and the background nicely blurred. the angle and framing/cropping are great. I like how the front one is in the bottom left and the flowers get more frequesnt the farther into the photo they go. Great color! ~Heather~

I like the flower against the background. really stands out well. Focus and clarity are really great. I like the angle and framing/cropping as well. the lighting is alright, I wish that there could have been just a bit more lighting on the front of the flower for some added detail, but still a nice shot. ~Heather~

Good focus and clarity. I think I might have cropped off the bottom flower, as the stem leads my eyes down there, and there really isnt much to look at. I find it to be a bit of a distraction. The angle of the top flower is nice. I like how you put it to the upper right. The flower stands out really nciely on the background. Great dof. The color is nice, but seems just a bt dark. The petals seem more grey than white, which I think they are suposed to be. Overall a nice shot though. ~Heather~

Does this taste as sweet as the little purple clover? I remember pulling off the little petals and biting on the white area on the bottom. It tasted real sweet. This looks a little saturated to me. Maybe a little bright on the reds, but that could be natural, I don't think I've ever really paid much attention to red clover. Focus and clarity are ok, but the large out of focus one in the front/left is quite bright and quite out of focus, that it draws my attention. The green/red combo is very nice to look at. Overall a nice shot. ~Heather~

The color is very nice, however I wish this were a bit sharper. the angle and framing/cropping are ok. I like the green space to the right. works nicely with the pink. we can get some detail out of the fly, but he's still pretty out of focus. The lighting is a little harsh in spots. Overall it's pretty, but needs to be sharper in my opinion. ~Heather~

I'm not real fond of the lighting here. The flowers in the back are a bit too dark, and the flower inthe front seems to be a bit bright in spots. Focus and clarity look alright and the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. Just bad lighting in my opinion. The dark shadow to the right (on one of the flowers) is real distracting. The color is nice in the flower in the front though. good luck in the challenge.

I have browsed the thumbnails a couple times now when I come to vote and comment. This photo jumped out at me every single time. It's beautiful. the detail you show us with the great focus and clarity is wonderful. I love seeing the 'veins'. These almost look like iris leaves. The lighting is simply suprub. I really like the different shades of green. You have brought out the color perfectly. The border also works really well with this image. Great shot. 10 from me. Good luck in the challenge.

Very pretty. I really like how the petals are all frilly like that. It is too bad these are endangered. You have a nice DOF here. The background is properly blurred and the subject is nicely focused. Lighting is good. The subject is lit good, and background darkened in nice contrast to the flowers. Great shot. Good luck in the challenge.

Very nice focus and clarity. I like how we can see the veins in the flowers and leaves. I also really like the contrast of the dead leaves, to the live blooming flowers. Colors are really pretty. Angle and framing/cropping are also good. Good luck in the challenge.
