Passing Over Historyby drydocComment: Nice composition, the background buildings shows where the bridge will lead you too and the tree in the foreground fills up the otherwise dull lower left corner. |

Be-Line Homeby justineComment: This is a good leading line, but I think the house is a bit too close to the edge of the frame. I wouldn't mind sacrificing a bit of the fence at the left for a bit more space at the right. Nice background, it shows what setting the house is in.
Good exposure. |

Into the Mistby karmatComment: Interesting composition. Altough I keep saying that it is a dull image that leads to nothing it still works. The perspective of the curved concrete that bends away and frames the foliage-texture at the left looks better and better _the more time_ I spend looking at it.
I'd say that only the upper line of the conrete is the leading line, the rest is a framer and subject on its own. Very nice, not dull at all. :)
Exposure is good, detail in the shadows and no visible highlight blowouts.
The image looks oversharpend though, a lot of diagonal jaggies. I have seen it only on oversharpened images and D1x 200% blowups. :)

SEVENby GotchyaComment: Funny photo, great subjects. :)
The poles lead the eye trough the frame, good job.
Exposure is a bit on the bright side, some highlight blowouts on the torso's of the birds and loss of detail on the bolts. A 1/3th-2/3th EV exposure compensation (or a one to two steps -not stop!- faster shutter does the same) could solve that. It is only a minor issue. |

Future modelby kevinswopeComment: Nice how the rock-wall leads to the girl. Good composition. The red shirt and blue pants makes her stand out from the dark branches. The tip of the shoes are a nice touch.
One possible improvement is a dramatically wider aperture to make the branches in the background a complete blur, providing even better contrast for the subject and keeping all attention on her. It would also blur the wall in the foreground, but that is not a problem. |

Meditating about lifeby jenaromComment: Great use of the fence and what I find particularly cool in this shot is the foliage in the upper right corner working as a frame and the big open sky in the upper left where the subject is looking at. The invisible line and balance between the face/body position and the sky is also something that makes this image communicate its meaning very well. |

The Bookwormby andrewmComment: Image with a good impact on the viewer. The subject is clearly the reading girl, both subject placing and the leading lines makes the image work in that respect.
Leading lines are the balustrade and the arch/pillar in the upper right section.
Lighting and exposure is great and the yellow shirt makes the subject stand out from the classic surroundings. The dark left side works well, it enhances the other composition techniques to keep the eye in the right side of the frame.
Good job, one of my favourites.
O yeah, I remember something else. Het activity has a leading line as well and that is the line between her eyes and the book. It communicates that she is fully occupied by her book, perhaps didn't even notice the photographer. When she would have looked up the magic moment would have gone and the photo wouldn't have worked as well as it has now. |

Indirect Routeby autoolComment: That's an interesting leading line. :)
I like the concept and the technical quality of this photo, but think that the composition could be improved with a shooting angle more to the left, to get a better balance between the vehicle and the construction site. The big arm trough the blue sky is a very cool subject. Good luck. |

say goodbyeby elgominComment: Frankfurt?
Nice photo, the lines work well. The lighting must have been difficult for getting a good exposure, possible highlighl blow-out on the train while still getting enough shadow detail. And that's the only problem here.
I would have liked to see more detail in the goodbey sayers, I can see from their body language that they are no passengers, but it would have just been a little bit better with more detail (I know that this was impossible). What would work with this lighting is when someone was also poking his/her head out of the door.
While I say this I think I see that the doors are closing? Not smart to put your head out at that moment. :)
Anyway, I like it. Good luck. |

Primary Oak by TarbiniComment: Nice how the crack in the ground carries the eyer from the lower left corner to the trees. The branch in the lower right also play's a role by pointing to the upper left. Fun how the upper part of the tree works with the line of the hill.
Great color.
I might have cut off a little bit from the left. Good photo. |
