Challenge: Leading Lines (Classic Editing)
Camera: Olympus E-10
Location: South of Tracy, CA
Date: Feb 27, 2003
Aperture: f-11
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Snapshot, Urban
Date Uploaded: Feb 27, 2003

I came across these workers laying concrete for a new housing development. As much as I dislike urban sprawl I found this very inteesting. The boom of the pumper leads you nearly out of the picture and then right back to where all of the action is. The little wispy cloud was nearly the only one in the sky, and the wind blew it right through my view.

It stretches my personal interpretation of leading lines, but, I accept yours. It would have been good to sharply focus on the two men and blur the truck.

the truck seems to be the subject and the lines lead to a subject that is a small small part of the shot... so it doesn't meet the challenge for me... but, nice color on the sky, thats not always easy

That's an interesting leading line. :)
I like the concept and the technical quality of this photo, but think that the composition could be improved with a shooting angle more to the left, to get a better balance between the vehicle and the construction site. The big arm trough the blue sky is a very cool subject. Good luck.

Be a great stock photo for the pumper truck industry. That a Schwing?

Very interesting leading line. It takes the viewer up to the sky and then down to the subject. I like the way the truck also seems to point to the subjects.

LOL, the lines don't work in this although I can see what you're thinking. :)

You met the challenge, but to me the subject is not very interesting. To much going on in the background.

good example of lines, but the line doesn't really lead to a subject... - setzler
