Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil

Composition - Excellent composition. I think the idea of this challenge was to have the lines lead to the subject as opposed to the lines going away from the subject. Regardless of anyone's definition, this is a great image. The birds are framed in the picture very well. The picture overall is very well framed. The colors are super. Well done.

Technical - This photo is very very crisp and clear. The one little problem I think there is with this picture is that most of the birds have a small washed out part on their white feathers. It isn't anything major but I do believe it has some effect on the quality of the photo. Dropping the EV by a -0.3 would solve that. A very very well taken photo though.

Overall - Very deserving of the score. Well composed and executed. Great eye to capture this shot. Nice job. Good luck in future challenges. - Inspzil

Great shot! The angle adds to the depth of the photo. The ocolors are great as is your WB. After re-eval... from an 8 to a 9! :-)

Good diagonal composition--the leading lines are the focus

Nice shot...fun idea. Some of the more literal in this contest might suggest that there is a lack of the linear in this but I would definitely disagree. I like the subtlety and love the colors!

Neat shot, I really like the composition. Colors and focus and lighting all good. Gotta be happy with that!

Funny photo, great subjects. :)
The poles lead the eye trough the frame, good job.

Exposure is a bit on the bright side, some highlight blowouts on the torso's of the birds and loss of detail on the bolts. A 1/3th-2/3th EV exposure compensation (or a one to two steps -not stop!- faster shutter does the same) could solve that. It is only a minor issue.

Nice composition and colors. Just wish the seagulls chests weren't so bright.

Interesting and nicely populated lines, both of them. This is a fine case of self-refering leading lines.

I love the color contrasts in this photo! Also, the way that the gulls seem to be posing. EXCELLENT SHOT!

Amazing how you got those seagulls to listen to you and sit tight :-) It is an excellent photo and for me one of the top 3 this week. You've essentially got 3 different lines running all in the same direction, good job!

I really like the composition of this photo, but I find the colours to be too overwhelming, making the photo seem a little busy. I think this photo would lend well to being a B&W picture. Of the ones I've seen in this challenge, this is one of my favs :)

Your composition really makes this shot for me. In addition to the "leading lines", the repetition of other patterns, as well as the good lighting make this a great shot.

Considered to be the number that represents completion. Nice picture with good colors and texture. Leading lines meet the challenge.

I loved this photograph. The line just led the eye through the whole of the image. The colours make a good contrast to the image and I love the seagull at the front standing up. He looks like the leader of the whole pack. Great shot.
