silhouetteby grigrigirlComment: Don't have time to vote, but this one really jumped out from the thumbnails and I just had too look at it. Not disappointed at all. Great silhouette with wonderful toning of the glass, great pose. Like it a lot, would score it a 10, make it a fav and perhaps hang it on the wall. :) |

Fruit bowl glassesby nitro102Comment: Looks like something Picasso could have made. The fruit patterns and background work really well together and the whole is well framed. Colors work well, could perhaps also make an interesting duo/tri/quadtone. 10. |

Have You Forgottenby blemtComment: This was my no. 1 for this challenge. The way the light works is fantastic. I don't think the image is too dark (and there is nothing wrong with my monitor or its calibration), it works very good here. Combined with the light and the foliage in the background it creates the right mood & emotion.
I like it how you positioned the photos, with the arm of the middle man going on in the left one. |

Two Different Languagesby AnnidaComment: Great pic Annida,
Good idea to use this background with the jewelery. Also like the idea of Death vs Life, the mix of cultures, the dark vs silver and the whole composition.
One improvement could be to take off the carrying rope off and perhaps even to grind the hanging eyes off the top.
It was one of my favs.
I'll take the Ankh if you don't mind. :)

Sunrise on the Mississippi Riverby sherComment: Ooh yes, I have been there, this would be a nice card to sent home. :)
I just love this area, the architecture, the gardens, the people, the weather.
I think that the bird is a strong addition here. Its only a small spot on the whole image, but it gives more meaning and emotion to the whole setting. Nice.

Slumber Down Under...by andrewlrComment: Man, this must be the cutest animal in the world. They are so cool, great attitude to the world, life and the rest.
Nice setting, ultimate laziness. When I die I want to return as a Koala. :) |

Familyby catjonesComment: Every time I photograph lambs in the sun, the camera's exposure meter is fooled by the bright whites. My experience is that it need's 1/3th to 2/3th stop underexposure to get the best detail. Would work here as well.
Nice setting. |

Spring Tulipsby mjf999Comment: Flora comment:
Nice composition and use of wide aperture. I like the light blur of the foreground tulip to move the eye into the shot, the hard blur of the background stops it at the point of the main point of focus, the two middle tulips.
Good angle, great colors. |

Dala Horseby MonaComment: Dalarna. Got eight of those myself.
Handcrafted by John Gudmunds in Rättvik. Nice stuff.
The colors look okish, a little bit washed out. The blank one in the back distracts a bit. I would have taken it away or positioned it in a way so that it would add more to the scene. The main 'problem' here is the background. The black in the upper part works, but the light black and brillianty lit cloth underneath don't do the image justice. |
