This one is strange on the oposite end of the spectrum (the 9's and 10's). How could anyone give a 9, much less a 10 on this shot when it's a plant and not an animal? LOL, it's probably the same people who gave the winning pictures 1's and 2's. :)

| Even with no animal (fauna) in sight, it's a good photography. With my patented scoring system, a better than average composition and execution gets a five. Would have been an eight with a bug. |

| A beautiful photo, but the wrong category I think? Most likely I am not the first to say it. If this had been a Flora entry, I would have given it a 10, but since the topic is fauna, well, I'm afraid it doesn't fit. |

| Extremely beautiful shot. I love your DOF on this and your composition is exellent using the flowers colors as the background. Oh, I bet your hearing it from people about the challenge theme being wrong. I do think this shot is very beautiful and much better than the Easter Tulip shot I did for the flora challenge. I also like how your main focused flowers aren't smack dab in the middle. |

| This is a beautiful picture of tulips, however, I have a feeling that you submitted to the wrong challenge. I don't see any animals here. However, dispite that, this photo is well done. DOF is fully on the two whole flowers in the picture with the most color and that is nice. I think that it might be just a little dark. Perhaps an adjustment to brightness/contrast would bring out the colors even more and make them more brilliant. Unfortunately, this photo is not going to do as well as it should since it doesn't meet the challenge, but I give you credit for the great shot. |

| I hate to mark this down b/c it is a very well done image, but this is the Fauna challenge, not flora. Tulips are not animals scientifically or otherwise. (I've looked all through the image to find an animal, if I am missing it, PM me and I will make the appropriate score adjustment) |

Flora comment:
Nice composition and use of wide aperture. I like the light blur of the foreground tulip to move the eye into the shot, the hard blur of the background stops it at the point of the main point of focus, the two middle tulips.
Good angle, great colors. |

| Nice macro and colour. Too many similar subjects created alot of clutter and difficult to make any individual flower to stand-out. The forum will be the best place for you to present your photo for comments. |

| It seemed this picture was meant for the flora challenge and it ended up here by mistake? I tried to leave you a comment without voting but that does not seem possible. As a result i can only give you 5. Wanted to say though that this is a beautiful image. Beautiful colors, composition, and dof. Had it been for the right challenge it would have gotten 8 at least. | [Comment only; no vote] This is a beautiful flower picture. Composition, lighting, and DOF are perfect. But I think you got confused and entered it in the Fauna challenge instead of the Flora challenge. That's such a shame because I think it would have done well. |
